Anesthesia Services

Your Safety is Our Top Priority

Is anesthesia right for me?

We administer an individually tailored anesthetic with safety and comfort in mind. A patient’s vitals, depth of anesthesia, and their response are monitored throughout the duration of the procedure. Our team is fully outfitted with emergency medication and equipment in preparation for every situation.

General Anesthesia

Anesthesia may be necessary to facilitate dental procedures for an array of reasons. Complex or invasive dental procedures, dental phobia, impairments or disabilities, and pediatric age are only some. When indicated, general anesthesia creates a safe, comfortable environment.

IV Sedation

In certain instances, general anesthesia is not indicated. This can be due to the type of procedure, complex medical condition(s), or patient choice. In these scenarios, and when some level of anesthesia is needed or desired, IV sedation can be deployed to deliver anti-anxiety medications to keep the patient relaxed, comfortable, and safe. This will result in a “twilight state” while still maintaining consciousness.

Which level of anesthesia is right for me?

Dr. Lenz, in consultation with the patient and the dental surgeon, will determine the proper level of anesthesia. We will be in touch prior to your appointment to get to know you, answer all questions, and decide what type of anesthesia will work best in your case.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?

It is important to know coverage varies widely with dental insurance. You may have complete, partial, or no coverage at all. We recommend you confirm your coverage options with your dental insurance provider before your appointment. To assist with this, you may use the following billing form when calling your insurer to provide them with the codes likely used during the procedure.
